Newmarket – Wayfinding & Interpretive
Newmarket is a new mixed-use development developed by CBUS Property set to open up a whole new neighbourhood within Randwick. With the offering of a bustling piazza, with cafés, restaurants and retail, alongside elegantly designed residential towers, the development aims to create a greater sense of community by providing a space for locals to gather within and enjoy together.
Our design studio provided design consultancy services including analysis of proposed signage locations, re-interpretation of existing concept, redevelopment of complete signage suite and resolution of design detail and construction specification.
The development also draws upon the rich history of the site and nods to this both in the masterplan and in the historic interpretive signage pieces integrated into the visitor experience.
Interpretive Timeline Marker
Cast bronze inlay applied to pavers and concrete throughout public areas.
The markers tell a story from 1830's to 2017.
